A JOURNEY TO DARFUR OFFERED TO INTERNATIONAL MARKET BY AMERICANLIFE TV NETWORKSM
WASHINGTON, DC AmericanLife TV NetworkSM (www.americanlifetv.com), the only independent network devoted to the U.S. Baby Boomer generation, is making its documentary, A Journey to Darfur, available for international distribution. The special was produced by reporter Nick Clooney after being moved by the trip he and his son, actor George Clooney, took to the Sudan border last year. Included in the documentary are emotional interviews with the genocide-ravaged refugees of Darfur, conducted by George and Nick. The program also features an exclusive interview with George Clooney. A Journey to Darfur premiered on AmericanLife TV in January and has been licensed to France2.A Journey to Darfur is offered non-exclusively for free to non-commercial outlets, and to commercial broadcasters who to donate 90 percent of programs ad revenue to the Save Darfur coalition (www.savedarfur.org). Following A Journey to Darfurs debut in the U.S., we received a number of inquiries from broadcasters throughout the world seeking to air the documentary, said Mark Ringwald, VP of Programming for AmericanLife TV. Our only goal is to make audiences worldwide aware of this international tragedy.
