AmericanLife TV Network Announces Key Additions to Sales Team
Richard Freedman to Lead Affiliate Sales at Newly Re-branded Network
Building on its continued momentum and growth, AmericanLife TV Network announced today the expansion of the network’s affiliate sales department with the addition of three affiliate sales representatives and a marketing manager headed by industry veteran Richard Freedman, who joins the network as Senior Vice President of Affiliate Sales & Relations. AmericanLife TV Network has made affiliate sales a top priority for 2005, building on recent launches in New York, NY, San Diego, CA, and Fairfax, VA.

“This promises to be a banner year for AmericanLife TV Network. Richard Freedman has a strong track record in the industry and is exactly the person we need to build on our momentum,” said Larry Meli, President and COO of AmericanLife TV Network.

In his new position, Freedman will oversee all aspects of national affiliate sales. Freedman was most recently Regional Vice President, Affiliate Sales for Comedy Central, where he spent five years building the network’s reach in the western U.S. Freedman also spent six years with Discovery Communications where he worked to expand the company’s domestic and global distribution.

Freedman heads the newly expanded sales and marketing team composed of newcomers John Baghdassarian, Western Regional Vice President, Affiliate Sales; Carla Lewis-Long, Southeast Regional Vice President; Affiliate Sales and Tracey Austin, Marketing Manager.

The network has also promoted Linda Moffat to Regional Vice President, Affiliate Sales overseeing the northeast region. Moffat has more than 20 years of cable television program experience including all phases of network sales and marketing, affiliate relations and public affairs. Moffat launched her cable television career at Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., where she worked in the network sales and program services departments for 14 years. She joined AmericanLife TV Network while it was the former GoodLife TV Network in 2002.

John Baghdassarian has 16 years of industry experience, previously working at the Food Network, Comedy Central and most recently Rainbow Networks/IFC Companies. While working for Comedy Central and Rainbow Networks, Baghdassarian continually exceeded sales goals on both local and national accounts. Currently, John Baghdassarian is an officer of the Southern California Chapter of CTAM.

Carla Lewis-Long joins AmericanLife TV after her 11-year tenure at NBC Universal Television. Lewis-Long served as the Director of the Northeast Region and was an integral part of the marketing department during the 2004 merger of NBC and Vivendi Universal Entertainment.

Tracey Austin has been appointed Marketing Manager for the network and reports to the Vice President of Marketing, Darlene Chapman-Holmes. In this new role, Austin handles all affiliate marketing and web site management to support affiliate sales. Prior to this role, she worked for AOL Media Networks in the advertising operations division.
